My name is Fatima and this is our story of the seed. A few things about me are that i was born here in San Jose ca and  California is the only place i have lived mt entire life but on some vacations i have been to Nevada.

I have gardened before and as a matter of fact i have a garden of my own. Me and my family grow tomatoes, scalions, strawberries, rosemary, cactus, grapes, chiles , melons ,and a few other types of teas. The reason we have a garden is because one day we went to this place i forgot the name and they gave my mom seeds and they told her to grow them and see if she liked it . It was sort of a program thing and one day they came with cameras and people and they started interviewing her and asked her how she liked it and we ended up expanding it and my dad made little ''beds'' for it and then we bought more plants and seeds.

well one person that i know about gardening and cooking is my grandma. She has so many plants and fruit trees. She has a cherry tree ad this other fruit tree that's really good. She also has a lot of tea plants and other stuff that i don't even know what it is. and her cooking is amazing no one makes food like her no one. I remember when she made tamales and she showed me how to make them and they turned out really good. so when ever she makes food i like to ask her what she uses and how she makes it. And i hope i can learn a lot from this seed project.
My name is Emily Sanchez and I live in San Jose, California. I've lived in San Jose my entire life but mother originated from Mexico and the rest of my family came from Mexico as well. I also have some family that lives in El Salvador.
I love to garden, I use to garden a lot because my parents always planted fruits, vegetables, and flowers in our backyard. I used to cook the plants we grew afterwards too but, my parents made amazing dishes from the vegetables we grew. I remember gardening cantaloupe and it was very tiring to take care of the plant but it was also fun watching it grow from a seed to a melon. The cantaloupe was very fresh and tasted much better than GMO melons  My dad knows a lot about gardening and horticulture, he mostly likes to plant vegetables like corn, chilies, and tomatoes because he loves to eat them afterwards and cook them into tasty dishes. My dad also used to plant vegetables and help garden other plants in a community garden I would come along too and observe how he tended herbs and other plants.
Hello my name is Maricarmen Arizaga tho prefer  being called Mari for short.I live like 7 min away from here so technically I live in San Jose. I've never gone out of the country tho maybe going to travel to London.I have some experiences with growing seeds and plants when i lived in my own house we use to grow our food most of it tho were fruits, we never grew flowers. When i think of gardening i think of my mom she loved gardening  even when we moved to an apartment she would still grow small flowers because she wanted the  house to look nice. Tho I haven't seen my mom that often  any more, each time i go visit she'll always be watering her plants or taking care of them.

Bio- Nayloni Hoges

Hi! Welcome to my groups blog, my name is Nayloni Hoges. I am fourteen years old and I am a freshman at Willow Glen High School in San Jose, California. I just recently moved to California and I was born in Buffalo, New York. About Two years ago I moved to Tucson Arizona, from New York. I stayed there for two years and then just recently moved here in California!

All of my family still lives in Buffalo so I go back there every summer. I have done gardening a lot, especially when I'm living with my grandmother in the summer. My grandma loves to garden and she loves buying and handling plants. I sadly have to help her get it all done. I don't like to get my hands dirty, especially in dirt so therefore gardening is not for me! Although I don't enjoy gardening I still do it anyway from time to time. I help my grandmother dig up weeds, get dirt put it in the ground and plant the plants into the ground. She always makes me water her plants in the front and backyard whenever it doesn't rain. In Buffalo there's a lot of grass and open land therefore there's a lot of room for a bunch of plants and seeds on my grandmothers property, it can be a handful!

The only person in my life that I recall gardening is my grandmother. She is a retired teacher and she has a lot of free time. She loves to sip coffee and tea in the morning and sit in her backyard and look at her ''beautiful'' gardening. My grandmother also likes to use some of the vegetables that grow in her backyard for cooking. My grandma loves to cook, all of her cooking is always made from scratch. She sometimes has green and red tomatoes growing, and she''ll use those for when she cooks okra. My grandmother also loves to go to the market and buy fresh vegetables and fruits for her cooking as well. Although, my mom is not a cooker nor gardener, and she doesn't like to expand her horizon when it comes to eating.
